Multi-stage run of show
Multi-stage run of show
What this feature is for
Assign a preparation phase to a specific stage, or leave it global when it concerns the whole event.
Where to find it
Open Preparation → Timing → Preparation, then edit the relevant phase and use its stage selector.
Steps
- Choose a Venue · Stage for a stage-specific phase, or leave it empty for a global phase.
- Filter the run of show by stage; global phases remain visible.
- When coordinating concurrent edits, select a stage and use Lock stage. The lock lasts 30 minutes and can be released by its holder.
What happens next
Stage phases appear together in the stage schedule. Other editors see a locked stage as read-only until the lock expires or is released.
Show budget
Amounts, the planned total and the cap are available in Preparation → Budget, not in the programme or General planning. Equipment, phases and budget remain linked, with one budget line per equipment item.
Required equipment per phase
In a phase sheet, the Required equipment block links items from the venue equipment list (generator, structure, telehandler…) with their usage slot. Each item shows its state: Available, Delivery to confirm, Delivery too late, Picked up before the end or Not ordered. Depending on the case, pick a supplier from the professional directory or move the delivery to the slot start. One item can serve several phases: an overlap beyond the available quantity is flagged with the phases involved. Linked rented equipment is added to the budget, one line per item. A red dot in the schedule marks a phase whose equipment is not ready. The block collapses with its arrow (count and alert stay visible when folded); the View equipment by phase button lists every project phase that uses equipment, with slots and states — handy on a phone. Needs are sorted by slot, equipment offered for linking alphabetically, and each row shows its slot in plain text (day and times) next to the input fields.
Who can take action
People granted event preparation rights; show control permission is separate.
Common issues
- A phase is missing after filtering: verify its stage assignment and selected day.
- Stage is read-only: another editor may hold its lock.
FAQ
Do scheduled cues advance the show automatically?
No. Cues are timeline markers with indicative duration; GO is always manual.
