Show Calling and Live Console

What this feature is for

The live console is the screen used during the performance. It displays the show calling sequence (the series of cues), timing, the current artist's playlist, and the team status. It is used to follow the progress and give the GO at the right moment.

Where to find it

Open the event, then open the live console from the main show bar. Prepare the show calling sequence beforehand in Preparation → Timing → Showtime.

Steps

  1. Prepare the show calling sequence before the day of the event: each cue (top) has a name, an indicative duration, and optionally a note for the team.
  2. On the day of the show, open the console and check that the correct day and stage are selected.
  3. Follow the current line: it is highlighted, showing the elapsed time and the indicative remaining time.
  4. At the desired moment, press GO to move to the next cue. Transitions are never automatic.
  5. Use notes and alarms to warn the team of points of vigilance (set changes, artist arrivals, end of slots).
  6. In case of the unexpected, go back or skip a cue: the show sequence adapts, and the history preserves what has been done.

What happens next

The completed transitions are timestamped. They feed the post-show review and the shared screens with the rest of the team, who see the same show sequence in read-only mode.

Who can take action

The GO is reserved for the event administrator and individuals to whom they have granted show control permission. Others see the show sequence without being able to trigger it.

Common issues

  • The GO button is grayed out: you do not have show control permission; request it from the administrator.
  • Nothing triggers automatically: this is intentional. The displayed durations are indicative; they do not drive the show.
  • The show sequence appears empty: check the selected stage and day, then ensure the sequence has been entered in Program.

FAQ

Does an entered duration advance the show?

No. It is used for anticipation. Moving from one cue to the next is always manual.

Can several people give the GO?

Yes, if the administrator has granted them permission, but it is recommended to designate a single person during the performance.
